The MI batter struggled to run between the wickets in the game against SRH at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. SKY made his return in IPL 2024 after being on the sidelines for a long time owing to an injury.

Injury scare for Suryakumar Yadav?

SKY looked in solid form as he took it upon himself to guide MI to a successful run-chase. However, in the 11th and 12th over, SKY was seen feeling his groin area as he experienced discomfort while running in between the wickets. He was repeatedly seen going down on one knee when he reached the non-strikers end, looking in discomfort.

Suryakumar’s ankle injury from the South Africa tour in December turned out to be more serious. In January, doctors discovered a sports hernia that required surgery. Since then, he’s been recovering for the past three months with specialists at the NCA in Bengaluru.
