The last over was entrusted by Sanju Samson to his most trusted death bowler Sandeep Sharma. The veteran was tasked to defend 17 runs from the last 6 balls.

19.3 – Third ball of the over – 2 runs – A perfect yorker from Sharma. Quick running from the batters as Samad return to strike with a two runs.

19.4 – Fourth ball of the over – 1 run – Good delivery. Low fulll toss but Samad mistimes the shit. Hit towards long on and a single run taken as Marco Jansen takes strike.

19.5 – Fifth ball of the over – 1 run – Pitched outside off and Jansen cleverly takes a single to rotate the strike. Abdul Samad comes to take strike. He needs 5 runs from the last ball to win, 4 runs to tie.

19.6 – No Ball – A good ball from Sandeep Sharma and Samad mistimes it. It goes to the long off where Shimron Hetmyer makes no mistake to take a simple catch. Rajasthan Royals begin to celebrate, but the umpire signals NO-Ball and now a free hit.

19.6 – Sixth ball of the over – 6 runs – Now 4 runs are needed to win the game. Aimed as an yorker but pitched on the slot. Samad keeps his calm and goes over the bowler’s head. Straight into the crowd as Sunrisers Hyderabad script a thrilling win.
