The Mumbai Indians will be looking forward to the SunRisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Super Giants ver yclosely. It's survival in the League depends on match. With eight points from 12 games, it's chances of survival is bare minimum. The five-time champions can be knocked out of the IPL play-off race as early as on Wednesday. If SunRisers Hyderabad beat Lucknow Super Giants, MI will be knocked out. Here's How:

Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have already 16 points each to their credit. If SRH beat LSG, the Pat Cummins-led side will go up to 14 points. This will mean that Mumbai Indians will not be able to overtake any of these three teams as the Hardik Pandya-led side has only 8 points after playing 12 games. They have two more matches left and the best they could get to is 12 points overall.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, who both have 12 points, face each other in the 64th match of IPL 2024. This means one of the two teams is going to finish over 12, which again goes over the maximum points MI could get to.

Hardik isn't getting carried away as far as MI's playoffs chances are concerned. "I don't know which mathematical situation we're talking about, but at the same time, you want to focus on playing good cricket," Hardik said in the post-match presentation, replying to Manjrekar's suggestion.

"The way our batters batted, that was excellent. My bowling, I like to bowl in the right areas, I bowl according to the situation. Bowled in the right areas today and it worked. I was like Chawla had to bowl from the shorter side. He (Chawla) had to be accurate, the margin of errors have become smaller these days for the bowlers.

"It's unbelievable, the best past of SKY is that he puts the bowlers under pressure. It's sheer confidence, his game has changed, is one of the best batters. He can change a game in a different way, lucky to have him (SKY) in our side," Hardik further said in the presentation ceremony.
