'Pata nahi yaar, shayad business' - Virat Kohli chooses his alternative career option

Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, recently showed his witty side when asked about his alternative career choice had he not pursued cricket professionally. His response not only revealed his humorous personality but also shed light on his journey as a successful businessperson.

During an event, Kohli was asked, "What would have been your alternative career if you weren't a cricketer?" To this, the former Indian captain delivered a candid and humorous reply.

"Pata nahi yaar, shayad business. Honestly, maine kabhi socha nahi. Mujhe bilkul business chalana nahi aata tha, ab thoda sa aata hai. Agar bina cricket ke business karta toh log 200% mujhe bewakuf bana dete. Ab thoda bahut aata hai business karna, bahut dhakke aur dhoke khaake (I don't know, maybe business. Honestly, I never thought about it. I never knew how to run a business but now I am slowly learning how to do it. If I had been running a business without cricket, then 200% of everyone would have made a fool out of me. Now, after facing many betrayals and hardships, I am gradually learning)," he said.

Kohli has ventured into various business endeavors, including investing in brands like Rage Coffee, the fitness center Chisel, menswear brand WROGN, and Blue Tribe, alongside his wife, Anushka Sharma. He also has invested in a couple of restaurants, one being One8 Commune. 

The star batter has been on an exceptional run in the ongoing IPL 2024. The 35-year-old has scored 542 runs in 11 innings and is the highest run scorer of the season. Incidentally, the cricketer has been under the spotlight recently due to his slow strike rate.
