2 silver ducks, 1 carnage – sums up Suryakumar Yadav‘s IPL 2024. The star Mumbai Indians batter has been a sort of a hit and miss so far in the Indian Premier League. And with less than 50 days remaining for the ICC T20 World Cup, it is a major concern for Team India’s preparation for the mega tournament.

IPL 2024 LIVE

The World Number 1 T20I batter missed the opening 3 games for Mumbai Indians as he wasn’t declared fit from huis injuries by the NCA. He returned against Delhi Capitals as MI won their first game in IPL 2024. But it was not a good return for the player who was dismissed for a 2-ball duck.

But SKY showcased his mark with a blitzkrieg against Royal Challengers Bengaluru where he hammered a 19-ball 52-run knock. MI comfortably defeated RCB by 7 wickets and a large credit for the win goes to SKY. Come the El Clasico, the lightning stuck twice, SKY was dismissed for a 2-ball duck.

Concerns for Team India

SKY’s inconsistent performance will be a concern for the Men in Blue. The destructive batter will be bat at number 4 for India in the T20 World Cup. But if SKY continues his inconsistent performances, it will be a major concern for Rohit Sharma and Co.

When SKY gets going, it is job done for his side. But the only drawback – SKY’s string of poor performances. While the IPL 2024 is still underway, the 360 degree cricketer will have to find a way to be consistent with his batting performances. These kind of hits and misses in the major event can cause a huge problem for Team India.
