The IPL 2024 auction is all set to take place in Dubai on December 19, 2023. Before the business event, all franchises will look to break ties with their non-performing players who failed to be at their best in the last two seasons. At the event, all franchises will look to fare well on the auction table.

Some players might receive a pretty penny due to their brilliant performances in international cricket during the auction. Rachin Ravindra is one of the names who has the potential to organise a bidding battle among some franchises. The New Zealand player has showcased his batting mettle in the World Cup 2023, and his numbers are indicating how impactful he could be in the cash-rich league.

Here are the three teams that could target Rachin Ravindra in the IPL 2024 auction

Punjab Kings (PBKS) tried Matthew Short, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Atharva Taide in the No.3 slot. All three batters failed to be effective for the team in the top order. Ravindra, who is looking spectacular with his bat in the World Cup 2023, might interest PBKS in the upcoming auction.

Ravindra has played his part exceptionally in the one-day international (ODI) tournament, scoring 523 runs with three centuries and two fifties in eight matches. The left-handed batter’s performance on Indian pitches might attract some IPL franchises, and PBKS could be one of them.

On the auction table, Kings might look to engage in a bidding battle with other franchises to rope in the 23-year-old. Along with the veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan and the youngster Prabhsimran Singh, Ravindra will be a great addition to the Punjab-based outlet for their top order batting.
