- Man City have two injury concerns in the form of Nathan Ake who received a knock in their pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich and Kevin De Bruyne who sustained a hamstring injury during the Champions League final. De Bruyne spent the entire summer recovering, so he did not participate in any friendlies and there were doubts that he would also miss a few matches.
- Surprisingly, De Bruyne has been included in the matchday squad, so he could make a start. Erling Haaland bagged records in his first season in the Premier League. He would like to continue with the quest of winning the golden boot for the second time. Hence, it can be expected that he will start this match.
