The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) sale buzz has picked up. Virat Kohli might have played a role in the decision to sell the Indian Premier League (IPL), and the names of potential owners have been revealed. There might be a Sanju Samson trade after all. Mohammed Shami’s coach isn’t happy. ICC’s meetings have seen major developments.

Why Diageo is selling RCB
Virat Kohli’s potential retirement might be the major factor behind Diageo’s decision to sell RCB. Despite not winning a trophy until 2024, RCB had one of the highest brand values among IPL teams. Samson to play for CSK?
Trade discussions between CSK and RR have restarted. Originally, CSK had refused to trade anyone for Sanju Samson. But now, CSK are ready to see the wicketkeeper in yellow. The 5-time champions have asked a top player whether he’ll join RR. If the player says yes, Samson might join CSK before the IPL 2026 auction.

The whole issue started after Team India refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, the chief of PCB and ACC. Naqvi refused to hand the trophy over, and it still remains in Dubai.
