Virat Kohli has added another trophy to his cabinet as he led Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their 2nd Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy as the side defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets on Sunday. The former RCB captain has never won a trophy while being the captain for Team India or the IPL franchise. But Kohli has been a part of 6 trophy-winning teams, which includes the Indian team in the ODI World Cup, the Champions Trophy, the T20 World Cup, and the IPL.

How many ICC, IPL trophies has Virat Kohli won?

Virat Kohli has secured four ICC trophies and 2 IPL cups in his career, including the 2011 World Cup, the 2013 Champions Trophy, the 2024 T20 World Cup, and the 2025 Champions Trophy, apart from IPL 2025 and 2026. He won two trophies under MS Dhoni’s captaincy and two titles under Rohit Sharma’s leadership. Virat Kohli is the only Indian player, after Rohit Sharma, to have won four ICC titles.

Kohli clinched his first-ever ICC trophy in 2011 as he was a part of the MS Dhoni-led side which lifted the ODI World Cup in 2011. He was also a part of the MSD-led squad which lifted the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. 12 years later, Kohli lifted the same trophy once again, this time with Rohit Sharma at the helm of affairs in the Indian cricket team. Putting an end to an 18-year-wait, Rajat Patidar’s RCB, which also comprised of Virat, lifted their first-ever IPL title in 2025. The side then defeated GT by 5 wickets in the IPL 2026 final to lay their hands on the silverware for the second consecutive time.

Kohli has retired from T20Is and Tests, and is currently active only in the ODI format. He aims to play in the 50-over World Cup in 2027, in a bid to add another trophy to his cabinet. After all, he was a part of the Rohit Sharma-led unit which suffered a heartbreaking loss to Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final in Ahmedabad. Therefore, the stalwart will be aiming to add another ICC trophy to his cabinet before bringing the curtains down on his international career.
