In the past IPL auctions, there have been some picks that have come to bite the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) back. In the past 16 editions of the Indian Premier League, several players have underperformed for the franchise. Tymal Mills

In a shock move, Royal Challengers Bangalore picked up left-arm pacer Tymal Mills for a whopping 12 crore at the 2017 auction. The English pace bowler played just 5 matches in the 2017 season, taking just 5 wickets at 30.60 while giving away 8.57 runs an over. The pacer was dropped and has played just 5 matches since.

Kyle Jamieson

Picked for ₹15 crore in the 2021 auction, Kyle Jamieson managed to take 9 wickets and score 65 runs in 9 matches. The New Zealand pacer had impressed everyone with his incredible performance against India but failed to make his mark and his lone IPL season.

Saurabh Tiwary

A great 2010 season saw Saurabh Tiwary get ₹7.36 crore in the 2011 auction. However, his performance for the franchise was, to say the least, bad. The southpaw played 3 seasons for RCB, scoring 578 runs at 22.23 while striking the ball at a sloth’s pace (106.64).

Cheteshwar Pujara

No one can understand this pick. Royal Challengers Bangalore paid ₹3.22 crore for Pujara in 2011. However, if Saurabh Tiwary is bad, this is worse. The Test great played 14 matches for the franchise in 3 years, scoring 143 runs at 14.3 while striking under 100 (94.07).

Chris Woakes

Another English pacer got good money. Chris Woakes got ₹7.4 crore but failed to deliver. The pacer played just 5 matches, taking 8 wickets. However, these wickets came while giving away 10.36 runs and an over. With the bat, Woakes made just 17 runs in 4 innings and was subsequently released.
