IPL 2024: Match 32, Gujarat Titans vs Delhi Capitals Live Updates, Commentary, News, and More

2 weeks ago 43

After winning three out of their six games, Gujarat Titans (GT) will host Delhi Capitals (DC) next on April 17 at the grand Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Gujarat-based franchise has had a decent IPL 2024 campaign under the leadership of their new skipper Shubman Gill so far.

They are coming off a brilliant win over table-toppers Rajasthan Royals and are riding high in confidence before they face the Delhi side. Gill and opener Sai Sudharsan have been in great form and are scoring runs consistently while the lower-order is also firing with the bat as the Ttians have experienced hitters like Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan who can give that late flourish.

However, the major concern is their struggling middle order. With Kane Williamson on the bench, the Titans do not have a strong campaigner in the middle to anchor the innings. The bowling unit is regularly taking wickets but is conceding a substantial number of runs and allowing the opponents team to come back in the game.

Meanwhile, the Rishabh Pant-led side has not enjoyed the level of success they would have hoped for. However, they are coming off a solid win over Lucknow Super Giants in their previous match. One of the key factors behind Delhi's losses has been the lack of consistent performance by the team.

Skipper Pant has been in incredible form and is a crucial factor that can help DC get the necessary runs towards the end of their innings. The bowling performance also has been a significant concern this season. Despite having bowlers like Axar Patel, Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma, and Jhye Richardson, the team has not been able to produce the desired results.
