IPL 2024 Retention Rumours: Manish Pandey, Andre Russell & Ben Stokes on the move?

With IPL 2024 Retention deadline set for November 26, the rumour mill is at work. The big rumour is that Kolkata Knight Riders are looking to offload Andre Russell. The KKR faithful has had a dip in form and has struggled with injuries. Delhi Capitals are likely to part ways with two middle-order batters Manish Pandey and Sarfaraz Khan. Ben Stokes is also on the move he may not even feature in the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Only two trade deals have been officially confirmed so far. Avesh Khan has been traded to Rajasthan Royals (RR) from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) with Devdutt Padikkal going the other way.

Romario Shepherd has moved to Mumbai Indians (MI) from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

• Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians: What could be a sensational move, News18 reports that Gujarat Titans captain could be on the move back to Mumbai Indians. Pandya who made a name for himself at Mumbai Indians captained Gujarat Titans to IPL 2022 title and IPL 2023 final. However, InsideSport could not verify the claim.
• Manish Pandey on the move again: As per PTI, Delhi Capitals are looking to offload Manish Pandey and Sarfaraz Khan both.

• Unlucky Sarfaraz Khan: One of the domestic super performers in red ball cricket, Sarfaraz Khan could find it difficult to retain his place in Delhi Capitals. As per reports, DC are likely to release Sarfaraz.
• CSK to release Ben Stokes? What could be a heartbreak for Chennai Super Kings fans, yellow brigade is looking to release England test captain Ben Stokes. The all-rounder is struggling with injury and will undergo knee surgery. To be fresh for T20 World Cup 2024, he is likely to skip IPL 2024.
• Andre Russell to leave KKR? Another big move could be Andre Russell. The West Indies superstar has been a KKR faithful for a long time. But as per reports, Kolkata Knight Riders are exploring a possible trade-in. But if no trade materialises, KKR could offload after injuries and below-average performances.
• Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians? What could have been the biggest transfer of IPL history, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik was apparently heading back to Mumbai Indians as per a News18 report. However, the story was later taken down. InsideSport reached out to both franchises but could not get a confirmation.
