There was an intense bidding war for Pat Cummins. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were the first to bid for the pacer. Then Mumbai Indians (MI) came in with their paddle and the price quickly went above Rs 5 crore. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) then stepped in place of MI to start the war with CSK as bid went above Rs 7 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) then entered the paddle battle as bid went above Rs 20 crore in no time with RCB also showing no signs of slowing down.

But in the end it was SRH which reigned supreme, and i process making him the most expensive IPL player ever.

The Aussie speedster has taken 55 wickets in 50 T20Is for Australia, with the best figures of 3/15.
