KKR has to do a lot of work in the upcoming IPL 2024 Auction, looking into their performance in the previous season.

Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Auction, all franchises are thinking about the permutation and combination for their teams. Therefore, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) who did not have a great last year as they ended up seventh in the IPL points table, would like to improve their side by adding a few valuable players to the side. Here is the list of players who might get picked by KKR in the auction.

Azmatullah Omarzai for Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur was bought by KKR for INR 10.75 crore. But he did not add value to the team as he had taken only seven wickets and just 113 runs in previous edition. In place of Thakur, KKR would like to buy a player who could bat in mid-order and bowl a few overs.

Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai can be a good option for KKR to pick in IPL 2024 Auction. He has taken seven wickets and scored 353 runs in the recent ODI World Cup.

Ashutosh Sharma

Ashutosh Sharma, a middle-order batsman for Railways, became a sensation after breaking the 16-year-old record for the fastest fifty by an Indian batter in a first class Twenty20 cricket matches, which was set by former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. He scored the fifty in 11 balls. KKR can give a chance to new talent in their middle order.

Mitchell Starc for Lockie Ferguson

Since Mitchell Starc is likely to return to IPL, KKR would like to buy him in the upcoming IPL 2024 Auction. Starc can replace Lockie Ferguson as both are right-arm fast bowlers. The Australian bowler has taken 16 wickets in the ODI World Cup. He played a key role in the final by taking three wickets.

On the other hand, Ferguson had played only three matches in the IPL 2023 season and picked up a single wicket. He would any time be released by KKR.
