Players MI will look to buy in IPL 2024 Auction

Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will sit at the upcoming auction table with an aim to fill their weaklings in the team. They have a strong top-order batter but lack a skillful pacer who could pick wickets. Ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction, let us look at the players they would look to add. 

Gerald Coetzee for Jofra Archer

Jofra Archer had a poor performance in IPL 2023 and therefore MI would look for a replacement. Since Gerald Coetzee impressed everyone with his wicket-taking ability in ODI World Cup 2023 with 20 wickets, they would like to add him to the team.

Dunith Wellalage for Raghav Goyal

MI has a space to add a left-arm spinner on their side. Dunith Wellalage is one option, MI would like to explore. Raghav Goyal can be replaced by Dunith as he did not have an impact in the past season, playing only one match. On the other side, Dunith has taken 17 wickets in six matches in ICC World Cup 2023. 

Pat Cummins

Though MI has plenty of all-rounder on their side they want a lower-order batter and a pacer. Pat Cummins could be a good option, since he ticks both the requirement. MI would go all out to buy Pat Cummins in the IPL 2024 Auction. He has taken 15 wickets in the recent ODI World Cup 2023.
