Punjab Kings, IPL 2024 Auction: Full list of players bought by PBKS, complete squad

Punjab Kings have chosen to retain the majority of their squad for the IPL 2024 season and in preparation for the auction, parting ways with just five players. Notably, Shahrukh Khan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa are among the most prominent releases.

Shahrukh’s departure is particularly surprising given the Tamil Nadu batter showcased significant improvement in his finishing skills. His performances suggested the potential for a more clearer role. As for Rajapaksa, who was last seen in action in the Caribbean Premier League, his four appearances in the season didn’t leave a substantial impact, except for a half-century.

PBKS entered the auction with maximum of eight slots to fill – two overseas – and Rs 29.1 crore in the purse.
