Rahul Chahar confirms divorce with wife Ishani Johar at 26 years of age

Indian leg-spinner Rahul Chahar on Friday, February 20, confirmed separation from his wife, Ishani Johar, through an Instagram post. This comes after almost over 3.5 years of being together following their dreamy wedding in Goa on 9 March 2022. Taking to the social media handle, the 26-year-old expressed his feelings in a heartfelt post.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad leggie claimed that he had entered this relationship at a young age and did not understand what he wanted at that time. In his elaborated message, he began, “I entered marriage at a young age, before I fully understood myself, my worth, or the life I truly wanted to build. What followed were years of lessons I never expected, and the last fifteen months spent navigating courtrooms, learning patience, resilience, and the strength that some from in truth.”

He further added, writing, “Today, that chapter of my life formally comes to a close. After due legal process, the matter has been settled with my resolution that costed a lot, bringing finality to this phase of my life. I close this chapter not with anger or regret, but with clarity.”

Rahul Chahar also reconciled, “Some relationships are not meant to last forever, they are meant to awaken us, teach us. and transform us. I move forward wiser, more self-aware, and certain of the life I deserve to build.”

Rahul Chahar aims to reset as he preps for IPL 2026

Chahar, while accepting that it will not be an end, added that he aims to stand on “self-respect, peace, and better choices.” The Rajasthan-born will now look to prepare himself for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is set to be played from March till May 2026.

Notably, Chahar will be seen donning the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey after he fetched a sum of INR 5.20 Crore in the accelerated process after initially going unsold at the IPL 2026 mini-auction. Prior to this, Chahar was released by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and will look to rebuild his career in the Yellow Army.
