Rohit Sharma's IPL records and stats against Rajasthan Royals

Rohit Sharma has been one of the most popular batters in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The star batter has won a lot of matches for both Mumbai Indians and Deccan Chargers. In two IPL finals, Rohit has scored fifties. In 2020, he scored against Delhi Capitals. In the IPL 2015 final, Rohit scored a brisk fifty against CSK. Rohit Sharma has scored 541 runs against the 2008 champions at a batting average of 20.04, and a batting strike rate of 124.37, including two fifty-plus scores. The right-handed batter has managed to score the third most number of runs for MI against RR, only behind the likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard. His best score against the franchise is 73(44) which came back in 2010, at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Cricket Stadium in Nagpur.

Memorable performances vs Rajasthan Royals

In 2010, the star batter played for the Deccan Chargers. In the match against RR, he smashed 73 runs in 44 innings. On a wicket which had some assistance for the bowlers, Buttler played well and weathered the storm early. Barring Adam Gilchrist, no other batter stood for Rohit's assistance. The Indian batter batted well in his home ground and put on a show. However, DC lost the match by just 2 runs due to a lack of support from the other end.

In the IPL 2014, MI had one of the best teams. On a slow wicket like Ahmedabad, MI batters struggled to get going. In came Rohit at number 4 and batted like a dream. The right-handed batter scored 40 runs in 19 balls which included 3 fours and 4 sixes. The knock of Rohit propelled MI to a score of 178/3 on a slow wicket. It was a very good total on the board, which was evident in the way RR batted later on and lost by 25 runs.

Rohit has the joint third most fifties (2) for a batter from MI against RR. His 21 innings is the most for an MI batter against RR.
