SRH 2026 Retentions: Released, Retained & Trade Players List Ahead of IPL 2026 Auction

2 weeks ago 29

The runners-up of the 2024 installment, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a comparatively lukewarm IPL 2025. They finished sixth with 13 points from 14 matches. The Pat Cummins-led unit could not secure a top-four spot despite three wins in a row in their final three league matches.

SRH's initial run in IPL 2025 put them on the backfoot massively. The likes of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head did not fire the manner they had in 2024. Although they provided some fiery starts at the top of the order, there were multiple instances of the team not being able to carry forward the momentum through the middle phase.

There was only the sole trade which SRH participated in ahead of the deadline day in the form of Mohammed Shami. Shami was released to Lucknow Super Giants for a Cash Deal of INR 10 crore. It remains to be seen how the Orange Army will finetune their squad at the mini auction to pose a significant threat come the 2026 iteration.
