Sunrisers Hyderabad qualification scenarios: SRH make it to IPL 2026 playoffs

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have become the third side to make it to the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) playoffs as they defeat CSK by 5 wickets. Pat Cummins and co. were third on the points table with 14 points to their name before the contest in Chennai, and needed a win against CSK on Monday to make it to the top four without any hiccups. RCB, GT and SRH are the three sides who have qualified for the IPL 2026 playoffs so far while the there are multiple teams competing for the fourth and final spot.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently 3rd on the IPL 2026 points table with 16 points to their name (13 matches, 8 wins and 5 losses). Pat Cummins and co. are left with one more match in the league stage – against RCB. If SRH beat RCB in their next game and GT lose their next contest, then they will finish in the top 2 and make it to Qualifier 1. Should GT win their next game, then SRH need to improve their net run-rate in order to occupy the 2nd position on the standings. Else, they will finish on 3rd.
